“Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I say?” – Luke 6:46
Lordship is not about control — it’s about relationship. When we receive Jesus not only as Savior but as Lord, we’re yielding our lives to the One who gave His life for us. This isn’t a demand for perfection — it’s a call to ongoing surrender, empowered by grace.
Lordship means Jesus is the center of our lives — not out of fear, but because we trust His goodness. Obedience flows from love, not legalism. It begins in the heart and works its way out in every part of life.
Making Jesus Lord isn’t a one-time moment — it’s a continual walk of surrender. Like building on a rock instead of sand, His Lordship stabilizes our decisions, relationships, and identity.
Ask the Holy Spirit:
Jesus, I confess You not only as Savior, but as Lord. I trust Your leadership. Help me surrender every part of my life to You — not out of fear, but out of love. Teach me to follow You from the heart. Amen.
Write about a time you surrendered something to God and how it brought freedom or peace. What is one area you’re sensing Him inviting you to surrender today?
